A delegation from the Ali Birra Foundation, led by Board Chair Haboo Lily Birra, visited Adama Hospital Medical College’s Warka Psychosocial Support Group, the first initiative of its kind in Ethiopia to integrate mental health care into routine cancer treatment.
During the visit, the team met with patients and survivors, exchanged insights and explored opportunities to further strengthen and sustain the program. They also listened attentively to the voices of patients, gaining a deeper understanding of their needs, challenges and aspirations.
The Foundation commends the College’s strong commitment to advancing mental health services, which aligns closely with its mission to promote Mental Health for All.
